Embracing Poetry 101

Poetry invites the act of creation, opening towards inner knowledge, choice, and freedom, which are intimately linked.

To go beyond conventional methods of exploration, we embrace poetry to join the craft of language.

We put ourselves in unison with the ample breath poetry calls for to come to life.

Poetry catalyzes the possibility of insubordination to the passive reading of the world and incarnate the sensitive experience. Each poem is an invitation to access an unsubmissive language that frees the representations of reality (Siméon, 2015).

Embodied as a vehicle of knowledge, poetry vibrates under our skin, sometimes dazzling, sometimes taking the form of enigmas, incorporating paradoxes, connecting opposites. Poetry like truth, resists any attempt at definition.

What is poetry? We do not know it. It becomes especially a method of research, said a young sailor who unfolded his life in idiosyncratic travelogues and dense turbulent calligraphic gestural strokes (Michaux, 1998, p. 973),

I live the poem as an explosion of being under the language, wrote the son of the stationmaster of a small Argentine town, who sought all his life to translate the verticality of transcendence, of course non-codifiable…
