“As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.” — C.G. Jung

“Ah! the old pond! And when a frog dives, The noise the water makes!” — M. Bashō

Who are you?

When the psychodynamic poets present themselves at the reception of the organization, they are sometimes welcomed as advisors — even though they do not really give advice, or coaches — even though they have no personal ambition to carry anyone to a predefined place.

But the psychodynamic poets do need a professional identity to be embedded in a social corporate context, everyone needs a defined role, “‘cause we are living in a material world.” (Madonna, 1985).

Who are you, and to which company do you belong?”, they are asked, as if the answer were necessarily obvious.

Facing the pressing demand, the psychodynamic poets look for clues in their own reflection on the glass of the entrance hall, and as the shimmering surface reveals colorful shadows, allowing for natural transparencies and opacities, they barely acknowledge a moment of strangeness. It is indeed often difficult to recognize oneself…
